Washington Friends of Farms & Forests provides educational outreach related to responsible pest management. Brochures for displays at county fairs, trade shows and other venues about the benefits of proper pest management and how to use pesticides correctly are available in digital form or and in some cases, hard copy. Managing Washington’s Working Forests – Washington State has 23 million acres of the most productive forestland in the country. Of these, 16.2 million acres are classified as commercial, or “working” forests and have been managed for a century or more.
